December and January tend to be the busiest time with BARK rescue’s foster homes taking in the lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs & cats from the Ottawa area. These animals are fostered by volunteers who are qualified to take loving care of them until they are deemed ‘adoptable’. For some it takes just a few weeks but for others it can be months so most times there are no ‘extras’ other than food for these precious pets. We can all help make their Christmas and ‘foster home stay’ a better one by donating to the BARK Angel Tree. Choose a furry angel gift tag from the tree located beside our cash register and donate treats, toys or even a can of gourmet food for a precious pet and we will package and send it off to BARK in time for Christmas.
There are so many good causes out there and we know too well about the plight of this earth, but if we all donated to the same charities what would happen to the low profile canine & feline causes? Please do what you can for our local rescue operations that rely on the goodness of our community.
